Hey Cougar Fans!!

Our game schedule for this week has changed a bit, so please make note of it and try to come out to the games.

Our game tomorrow night has been changed to a Home game at 6:00pm against Heritage. Also, this Thursday's game against NCC has been MOVED to April 15th. Check the game schedule on the CCA Dugout Club website and at MaxPreps for the updated schedule. If you have any questions, give me or Skip a call.

Game Advisory for Tuesday

Cougars,

At Carver Field, we share with the Carver Middle School program. On two dates we follow one of their games.

Tuesday (today) is one of those days.

The school they are playing will be getting to the school late, thus delaying the start of their game.

Just a heads up that game time might be pushed to 630 to 645.

The Bus will leave CCA at 430.

2010 CCA Varsity Gate Information Sheet

CCA Varsity Baseball Admissions Gate info

Pick up Cash Box from Michelle Jones at CCA on game day.You will sign off on a sheet for how much money you receive and sign off on another sheet for how much money you return. These sheets are kept with the cash box.
Pick up signature sheet from Kay Britt for any ICSGA games. Staff and coaches from an ICSGA school get in at no charge and will need to sign this sheet. Return this sheet to Kay Britt the next school day following the game.
A white table and 1-2 chairs are in the concession stand. This table should be set up at the bottom of the hill between the Visitors Dugout and the bleachers.
There is a storage box in the concession stand labeled “CCA”. This box contains:

- the signs for the table & tape
- a master list of CCA Season Pass holders
(in case someone forgets to bring their pass)
- extra CCA Season Passes for anyone who did not receive theirs prior
(Please check the master list before issuing a Pass.)
- CCA Brochures
- game schedule
- volunteer schedule
- a copy of these instructions
Admissions fees are collected beginning 30 minutes prior to the game and up until the middle of 2nd inning. (Adults-$4, Students-$2, children 5 & under n/c)
After the game, place the table and chairs back in the concession stand.
Make sure contents of the storage box are put back in the box and placed back in the concession stand ready for the next home game.
Two people MUST count the Gate money and fill out and sign the “return” sheet for Michelle Jones. Return money and forms to Michelle Jones at CCA the next school day following the game.

Cougars,

Just a quick note on scheduling. The school website is now correct. It is correct as of later today. Maxpreps is also up to date. If you have printed a schedule before today, destroy it. We will hand out schedules to the players at practice tomorrow. You can go onto maxpreps or the Covenant website for up to date schedule information.

Per your messages from J and the Dugout Club, go to www.maxpreps.com for complete statistical information on the Cougars. We try to get the stats updates within 48 hours after a game at the latest. A big thanks to J Hardee for keeping it up to date! The schedule on Maxpreps is up to date and correct also.

Please make note that All Home games start at 6pm except for the lone Saturday Home game versus LCA which starts at 1pm.

Please note that unless otherwise approved and confirmed with me, all players must ride to and from all games on the bus with their teammates. We go to the game as a team, we play as a team and we travel back home as a team.

Practice tomorrow (Friday) will be at Bay Creek Park on Ozora Rd. The bus will leave CCA at 4pm and have the team back to the school by 6pm. You may pick your player up at the park at 5:30.

Next game is Monday in Macon vs. Stratford Academy @ 400. Bus will leave promptly at 1pm from CCA. All players are required to ride to and from the game on the bus. We will stop to eat on the way home.

Varsity and Middle School Baseball Week Schedule

First of all, a big way to go to the boys varsity basketball team. Big win last week and a lot of momentum going into the state playoffs next week! Coach Reid did a great job on the bench and the players kept their composure and took it to them! Just outstanding!

We are in the final stages of confirming our varsity schedule. We will have 8 region games, 8 additional conference games and four games out of conference ( Killian Hill and Westminister two each). We are in the process of rescheduling our game on February 19th due to the basketball team playing in the State Tournament. I will advise. The completed schedule including starting times will be forwarded this week and posted on the school website.

Middle school will practice Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday for the next two weeks.

Next week we will start determining our pitching rotation and throwing from the mound.Middle School team will have 14 games. 10 against travel ball teams and two against middle school teams. The first Middle School game, at this time, is scheduled for March 8th at 8pm at Lilburn Lions Club park against Lilburn. Middle School schedule to date will be emailed out this week.

Work hard now. Now is the time to be the best player you can be for the season.

Baseball Is Upon Us...Volunteers Please?

Hello Cougar Baseball Fans!

Good evening everyone. I hope your school year has been great and you are anticipating this year's baseball season. I hope you have had a chance to be a part of the basketball season as well. It is proving to be a very exciting season. We are nearing the end of the season with a great outlook for the playoffs. I will venture to say even a great great chance at contending for the state championship. Come out and support your Cougars tomorrow night at CCA when we play LCA.

Now, onto why I am contacting you. For those of you who don't know me, my name is J Hardee. My son, Jordan Hardee attends CCA and will be playing his first year of baseball at CCA. I am excited to be a part of the baseball program this year.

Coach Skip has asked me to head up the Dugout Club this year. We have a lot to do and a little time to do it in.

I am reaching out to all parents to get volunteers to head up a couple of areas and assist coordinating the details to make our games a success for our baseball fans and most of all our athletes.

If you will even consider serving as a lead coordinator for the following areas, please contact me at your earliest convenience. I promise you, you will not be the only one volunteering in this area. I believe firmly in the idea that many hands make a lite load. I will be working closely with you to get the support necessary to make everything go smoothly, effortlessly and quickly. Emphasis on "parents" enjoying watch their athlete play ball.

Here are the areas I would like coordinators. If you prefer not being a lead coordinator, but are willing to help in one of these area's, please respond as well letting me know. Let's make this year even better than last year.

Volunteers Needed....

Press Box - This entails coordinating setup, keeping the book, announcements and scorekeeping. Not necessarily doing, but coordinating. We will need volunteers in each of these areas of Press Box service.

Concessions - Of course this year we will have a concessions. We will need to coordinate volunteers to work games, setup, breakdown, cleanup, etc. We will need someone to work the front gate as well.

Thank you all so so much. I have had the great opportunity to meet some of you already and I think you are all fine people. Thank you for your service this basketball season in the concession stand. This year we are going to try and get some basketball or football parents to help at the concessions to return the favor. Let you all watch your athletes.

We are still attending to final details, but you can start checking it out now. We will be posting the games and scores for the season as well as provide helpful links. Give us your feedback.
